When Steve was about 12, he went fishing in the Longford with 2 of his friends.it was a gorgeous sunny day. After he had been gone for about an hour, one of his friends came running to our house in an absolute panic screaming that Steve was bleeding to death in the river!!! I dropped everything and went racing to the river only to find him sitting on the bank, his bare foot covered in mud and blood!! After getting him home, the blood turned out to be mostly water and the cut, a small nick. Needless to say, he never went into the river again with bare feet. :D
